這個玄案到底是怎麼發生的呢? 

話說有一天, 企鵝爸爸開車上班, 開著開者, 方向鏡外殼就從窗戶飛了進來, 還好接到了(可以去當捕手的企鵝爸) , 下車檢查, 還撞了一個凹洞. 到現在還是不知道發生的什麼事 - - 玄案!!! 只知道兩旁沿路蓋了許多新房子, 可能有人在施工. 只是, 如果昰警告標誌, 也只是三角錐, 不會撞成這樣啊.


在美國呢, 如果可以自己動手作最好, 因為一來別人修, 收費比較高, 二來, 運氣不好, 工人粗手粗腳, 不保不會有別的問題. 就這樣, 企鵝爸決定自己修車.

我們企鵝與三豬十分鐘實驗學校最強調自己動手作, 身為校長之家, 一定要示範一下, 當爸爸在自己動手做時, 一定也要叫小孩來旁邊觀看!  (嗨!以後你們也要會修!現在先實習)

小企鵝寫了一篇記錄文, 因為小企鵝不會寫中文, 所以大家再忍著點, 看英文. 內容敍述: 是說他是一個小孩子, 其實不是很能仔細的寫出該怎麼換. 不過他覺得原來車的內部比想像的複雜. 看的過程蠻有趣的.

Fixing the broken side mirror

It's not that often that you get a broken side mirror, but in our case, we did. Fixing the side mirror takes a lot of money if you want to fix it at a car repair shop. I'm a kid, I don't really know how to fix it, but here's what happened fixing it. So my dad had a broken side mirror, and so he called my brother and I to watch him. 

First, he took off the two screws from the car door, in this case, the driver's door, to take off the door. I think, he probably used a screwdriver to get the door's side off. There was lots of cool stuff in there, it's in the picture above. I never knew the inside of a car's door was so complicated, even the side mirror was! Well luckily, the shell flew in when the side mirror was hit, so he still had the shell. The shell was cracked, so I helped him glue the shell back together with Epoxy glue. I wondered why use epoxy glue when school glue or even wood glue would do so when my brother broke a teacup last week. But Daddy insisted that we use epoxy glue. 

Back to the car, the mirror was cracked so Daddy had ordered another side mirror. He had to take off the old mirror by taking off three screws and attached the side mirror and the shell (but I don't really know how; I was reading). He attached the new mirror back in and I guess, the three screws that were taken off. Then he attached the side of the door with it's other side together and screwed the door back on the car and that was done! 

In my opinion, it was a little complicated for kids to understand how to fix the car, but it was fun to watch. I didn't explain the steps very carefully because I really don't know how Daddy did it. Good luck to your car (and hope it doesn't get a broken side mirror!)!
